Adult/Junior Bass Tournament Series

You can watch your kids play sports, you can coach your kids in sports, but Kids First provides an opportunity for you to watch, coach, and actively PARTICIPATE in a sport with your youngster.

4/2/16

Today’s tournament weather conditions were cold and windy, but that didn’t stop 27 teams including several from the Rossville Christian Academy high school team from coming out today to try their luck.  Fishing behind the recent cold front was tough for many teams and only one team brought a 5 fish limit to the scales today.

The power house team of Miller and Miller put together a 4 fish limit topping the scales at 13.26 pounds.  Their bag was anchored with a 5.40 pound largemouth to take first place.

Newcomers Dees and Dees managed to land three fish for 11.76 pounds.  Their bag was anchored by a 7.95 pound largemouth which also was the tournament Big Fish.

Third place was won by the team of Loflin, Loflin, and Ward.  They put three fish in the boat for a total weight of 10.81 pounds.

Leading the team AOY points is Miller and Miller.  We have a two way tie for second between Hart/Sullivan and Loflin/Loflin.  In the Youth AOY Layton Monroe is firmly in the lead with 4.28 pounds in the 10 and under division.  In the 11-13 year old division Jaxson Sullivan is leading with 8.71 pounds followed by Fisher Holmes with 5.93 pounds.  In the 15-18 year old division Blake Loflin is leading with 6.31 pounds with Logan Ward just behind with 5.90 pounds.

Billy Doyle of Craw Cane was on hand today to pass out bottles of Craw Cane to all the kids.  Also in today’s grab bag were discount codes from The Bass University including a free trial subscription to Bass University TV.  Today’s door prize drawings were provided by Mercury Motors, B & B Outdoors, Big Hill Pond Boat Sales and Service, Bass Pro Shops, Floral Connection and Mike Whitten.  Thank you to all the Kids Frist sponsors that help keep us going!

Thank you to all the teams that came out today and we hope to see everyone back for our next tournament on 4/23/16 at Pickwick Landing.
