Kids First had a great turn out to kick off 2016!  We had 19 boats and 22 kids come out today despite the questionable weather forecast.  While several teams struggled to boat a keeper today we had TWO teams that figured out the bite and brought in 23 pound bags!

In first place was the team of Miller and Miller with a 5 fish limit toping the scales at 23.58 pounds.  Their bag was anchored by a 8.66 pound largemouth that also earned them Big Fish.

Trailing just behind with 23.47 pounds second place went to the team of Hart, Sullivan, and Milholen. 

In third place was the team of Pirtle and Taylor with a very respectable 15.34 pounds.

The Youth Angler of the Year is off to a great start with Hunter Smith starting off with a 3.76 pound bass to lead the 15-18 year olds, Jaxson Sullivan with an impressive 6.32 pound bass leading the 11-14 year old division, and new comer Layton Monroe with a 4.28 pound bass to take the lead in the 10 and under division.

Each of our youth competitors received a giant bag of tackle provided by Strike King and sunglasses provided by All State and Kids First.  Today’s grab bags were sunscreen provided by Blue Lizard and Hammer Rod buffs.  Today’s door prize drawings were provided by Bass Pro Shops, Floral Connection, Big Hill Pond Boat Sales and Service, and Mike Whitten.  A big thank you to all of our sponsors for providing all these great prizes!
